STORY

The Majodi Bookshop is currently located in the compound of Majodi Centre at Plentong, Johor. Founded by Rt. Rev. Bishop James Chan in 1988, its original name was Majowe Bookshop. When its first started , it occupied a premise in Wisma Maria along Jalan Ngee Heng. Even though it is based in the South of Malaysia, the scope of its service extends throughout the whole of Malaysia and Singapore. Six years after its inception, it moved to Majowe in Plentong and when Majowe bacame Majodi in 1988, the bookshop followed suit with a change in its name.

The Bookshop's motto is "To Serve is my joy". Today, it still holds fast to the spirit of joyful service as it is ready at all times to share all that is good in the Catholic tradition and to serve with deep joy.
